oh, pancake!

so one of my favorite russian slang phrases is "ой блин!" which translates literally into "oh, pancake!" it's brilliant; useful for blurting out when you've stubbed your toe/cut your finger/slipped on the ice and fallen on your ass in front of the locals (not like that's happened to me, or anything... riight), or when something/someone is being a royal pain in the ass (the kids usually say it when i assign them their homework). it's more or less the equivalent of saying "oh, crap!" but is just so much more fun.
